The B2B Visa Platform StampMyVisa acquired Teleport, a travel-tech startup dedicated to easing visa applications for young travellers. Teleport conducts its business out of South India and counts among Indian startup founders: Kunal Shah (CRED), Vidit Aatrey (Meesho), and Phanindra Sama (RedBus).

The acquisition marks a gigantic milestone for SMV on its journey of simplifying and scaling its offering of visa services across India and Southeast Asia. SMV intends to exploit the digital-first consumer-first thought introduced by Teleport in unison with SMV’s very own B2B ecosystems and operational experience.

Extension of Transaction Reach

StampMyVisa was incorporated in the year 2023 by three partners, Pravin Wadekar, Amey Anekar, and Rahul Borude. The company enables travel agents, corporates, OTAs, and MICE to process visas for over 60 countries, claiming a 99.5% success rate after completing over 50,000 visas in just six months.

VISA PROCESSING REACHES NEW GROWTH

StampMyVisa works with travel agents, corporates, OTAs, and MICE Companies to shortly process visas for over 60 countries. StampMyVisa claims that their visa processing success rate is 99.5% and has processed over 50000 visas in just six months.

Over the last eight months, SMV’s revenue has quadrupled, which demonstrates the strength of the market demand. To continue their growth, SMV is currently in the final stages of raising $3 million to provide more growth funding.

StampMyVisa’s co-founder & CEO Rahul Borude, a former CRED employee, said, “This moment feels like coming full circle — from being part of CRED’s early team to now acquiring a startup backed by Kunal Shah. Teleport has built a loyal user base and strong brand affinity among young Indian travelers. With this acquisition, we are bringing together the best of both worlds: Teleport’s consumer innovation and SMV’s scalable visa infrastructure.”

Technology Utilization

One of SMV’s greatest strengths is its API platform, which is called Konveyor. This developer tool allows travel platforms, banks, OTAs, and fintechs to integrate visa services into their own apps or websites.

Teleport was founded in 2022 in Mumbai by Nikita Dresswala, with the mission of making travel visa applications easier. Its platform takes users through the visa process from the moment of application until their visa is successfully approved. The company has raised $507K in seed funding from Angel List and other third-party investors.
