Adding an extra pair of AirPods to your Apple ecosystem is probably one of the best things you can do when it comes to convenience. That way, you can leave one pair in the car or at the office so you’re never without a pair to throw on quickly.
Several different AirPod models are discounted for Prime Day, but the best of the best is the AirPods Pro 2 which is currently down to $159 at Amazon. These earbuds offer Personalized Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking for a more immersive audio experience. Prime Day is naturally one of the best times to pick up one of Amazon’s own devices at a friendlier price and nowhere is that more true than with a Kindle. Although there are several Kindle deals available right now, the Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition is on sale for $179 — its lowest price to date.
The Colorsoft made its entrance last year as the first ever color Kindle (perfect for graphic novel fans) and we awarded it 4.5 stars in our review of the Kindle Colorsoft. If you’re looking for one of the best Kindles at a great price, this is it.

Up your streaming game with this deal
While many of the best streaming devices plug right into the back of your TV, the Amazon Fire TV Cube doesn’t as it features a built-in Alexa-powered smart speaker. You also don’t need an adapter if you want to connect it to your router via an Ethernet cable for even lower latency but it also comes with Wi-Fi 6E for super fast downloads over Wi-Fi.
Right now, you can pick up a Fire TV Cube for just $89. This is $50 off and the lowest price we’ve seen yet for Amazon’s most advanced streaming device. Oh and did I mention you get an Alexa Voice Remote Enhanced in the box too.
An iPad you’ll actually use
Have you ever bought a tablet thinking you’ll use it all the time for browsing the web, watching movies, taking notes and more only for it to end up gathering dust on your shelf? Well, I certainly have. That is until I went back to using smaller tablets like Apple’s iPad mini.
With a small tablet like the iPad mini 7, it’s easy to bring it with you anywhere you go. Right now, you can get an iPad mini for just $399 at Amazon, or $100 off its normal price.
If you want something bigger, don’t worry as most of the best iPads are also on sale too. However, if you want all the features you get with an iPad in a small, easy-to-carry form factor, the iPad mini might be the best one for you too.
Seeing is believing
You can’t always bring a TV with you but with a pair of the best smart glasses, you absolutely can. We’re probably going to see even more AR and XR glasses discounted as Prime Day continues but right now, you can pick up a pair of the Viture Pro XR glasses for over $100 off.
I’ve been testing these smart glasses out myself and they’ve made watching movies and playing games even better. For instance, I wore them on a 16 hour flight about a month ago and just last weekend, I played the Nintendo Switch 2 in AR using them. For that second one, you will need to pick up the Viture Pro Mobile Dock but good news, you can get the glasses and the dock in a bundle and Viture is even throwing in a free controller too.

The best smart home devices range from simple smart lights to more complex ones like smart thermostats. However, even some of the simplest appliances are now available with a smart upgrade and many are already on sale for Prime Day.

I’ve been waiting until Prime Day to see if Paramount Plus might be one of the Prime Day streaming deals on offer. And luck is on my side, because it is!
Paramount Plus Premium is just $0.99 via Prime Video Channels for two months. The regular monthly price is $12.99, so that is a massive savings!
The Essential plan is also the same price, but you should definitely get the Premium plan since it offers everything Essential does, plus: no ads (except on live TV), Showtime programs and a live feed of your local CBS station.
This Paramount Plus deal could not come at a better time. “Dexter: Resurrection” premieres Sunday, July 11, while “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” season 3 has set its phasers on July 17.
And of course, now I can binge all of “Couples Therapy” season 4.
