AI Beyond Human Limits AI Video ‘Limit of Quality’ to the Front of Content Creation…Human director is still here
While “Virtual YouTuber” using artificial intelligence (AI) technology is rapidly becoming popular, the representative example, “Bloo,” is currently making remarkable results, exceeding 2.5 million subscribers and 700 million cumulative views.
This character is a 3D avatar with bright blue hair and “dark blue” eyes that reminds me of a game skin like Pixar’s animation or Fortnite. Blue said in an interview with CNBC on the 2nd (local time), “The goal is to provide a pleasant atmosphere and content so that millions of viewers around the world can continue to return.” Blue mainly deals with popular game contents such as Roblox and Minecraft.
The character was created by Dutch YouTuber Kwebbelkop. In an interview with CNBC, he said he developed Blue after judging that there was a bottleneck in the process of producing content every day.
Currently, Blue is created through voice and motion capture, but most of the thumbnail production, subtitle translation, and voice synthesis are handled by AI such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini. “We’ve now made more than a million dollars,” Kbebelkop said, “and the goal is to run a fully AIized beau-tuber.” In the past, we have tried to produce complete AI, but the audience’s response was not good. “It doesn’t completely replace human intuition and creativity yet,” he said.
The technology of making beau-tuber is developing rapidly. Startups that use virtual characters to create character videos for several minutes are constantly appearing.
According to CNBC, the increase in faceless AI channels is increasing. These channels are mainly run by creators, who use AI tools to produce videos containing artificially generated images and voice commentary, and are known to earn thousands of dollars a month without appearing on camera.
However, as AI-generated content becomes more common online, problems such as a decrease in content reliability are also being raised.
